Una delegación de Ciclistas, pertenecientes a la Federación Deportiva Provincial de Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, se alista para participar en el CAMPEONATO NACIONAL INFANTIL.
El evento deportivo se realizará del 1 al 7 de octubre en Tulcán, provincia de Carchi, y es organizado por la Federación Ecuatoriana de Ciclismo.
La Delegación de los caballitos de aceros como se le conoce a esta disciplina, está conformada por los deportistas: Jennifer Montenegro, Pablo Arteaga, Jonathan Murillo, Michael Salvatierra, Saúl Caicedo, Alex Quinteros, Byron Cobeña e Isaac Guzmán, ellos estarán bajo el mando del Prof. Eduardo Murillo.
Para este campeonato los ciclistas se preparan intensamente en las pruebas de 200, 300 y 500 metros Velocidad, Cronos, Pista y Ruta para así quedar en los primeros lugares dentro de cada prueba que compitan, donde a este evento nacional, asistirán delegaciones de Federaciones Provinciales, Asociaciones de Ciclismo, Clubes de Alto Rendimiento del país, los mismos que harán que esta sea una competencia de altura y bien competitiva.
La delegación, previo a su participación en este campeonato nacional infantil, el viernes 29 de septiembre estarán en Quito para realizar una base de entrenamiento en la pista de Concentración Deportiva de Pichincha con la finalidad de que los ciclistas infantiles se acoplen bien a ello, debido a que en nuestra provincia no existe un velódromo donde puedan entrenar con mayor facilidad los deportistas, según nos comentó el entrenador de esta Disciplina, Prof. Eduardo Murillo.
El retorno a tierra Tsáchila, lo realizarán una vez culminado este importante evento deportivo.
